The college aims at establishing a sea-oriented vocational institution which focuses on developing such specialties or specialty groups as Marine Transportation, Naval Architecture, Port Management and Maritime Tourism, with other specialties of Food Science and Information Technology in synchronization. By implementing the strategies of strengthening Marine Navigation, expanding Ship Construction, consolidating Port Management and updating Tourism, a promising specialty system with distinctive ocean features and sustainable development has been formed. The specialties of Marine Navigation, Marine Engineering and Naval Architecture have been awarded the prominent specialties at the provincail level.
